I have been d/ling graphic card benchmarks for a while to test them out on my hardware. I need something confirmed for me. Can some download this http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/files/ParticleFury145.zip (200KB very small)
It is a particle benchmark that pretty muich creates a whole lot of particles.
I need someone to set it to 32000 particles and tell me what FPS they got (it says on the lower lefthand corner).
I think I got a screwy driver because the particles from the center look like squares until they get closer to the screen.

Are ATi card so bad at OpenGL that they can't even render particles correctly? Here is a picture of what I was talking about with the blocky particles.

If you look at the center, the particles are squares. On my brothers PC with a Geforce FX5200, all of them are very smoothly blended.

i get about 73 fps tops. you might want to check your driver settings and move the quality higher if you can

AAHAAA! It turns out the my mipmap detail was set on very low quality. After turning it up, everything was great!! thanks for the info!! I thought I had a screwy gfx driver...
