I was hoping someone could suggest a great (free) piece of software that will benchmark my computer. I just built my first computer and want to know how it holds up. Thanks!!!!

3DMark is you are focused more on gaming benchmarks, or PCMark for overall system benchmarking.

3DMark01/03/05/06 has an unlimited run trial, 3DMark Vantage can be run once. And the same for PCMark.

wPrime is free and good for benching your CPU. Sisoft Sandra has a benchmark suite and a free version.
