Bent Pins

For anyone following my computer problems I have been having lately, I think I have found the problem. Upon expecting my processor I found that 4 pins were bent, so I straightened them the best as I could and still nothing happens. Once pins are bent is the processor dead or did I just get unlucky?

Bent pins shouldn't hurt a processor as long as they don't break off. I suspect it's another problem.
