Best $200 range graphics card

I am looking for some help picking out the best graphics card for the $200 range. I have been looking at 6870 cards right now on newegg but I have never owned a graphics card and am not too sure of the difference between all of them. Can someone post some newegg links of what they would buy? I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.:good:

Edit:
I am starting to get into computer gaming. I want to play things like Battlefield 3, Skyrim and more.

I decided I will go up to $250. I am thinking I want a 6950. Would this be a good idea and what card would you guys choose on newegg? there is alot of different 6950 cards and I don't know what the difference is between them all but I want to make sure I get the best one for up to $250.

id say look at a bigger PSU, maybe in the 650W range if your going to use a 200 dollar gpu.

or a radeon 6870, which is slightly cheaper, id go with the 560Ti myself, namely from asus

get a decent gigabyte or asus motherboard, from the 9 series so you get better hdd support and possibly sli support.

get 8 gigs of ram too...ram is stupid cheap...no reason to skimp there

I did not figure I would have to upgrade other stuff so that I could run a good video card. I thought my setup was pretty decent. Maybe I will just go with a cheapy graphics card then.

The 500w psu he has is good quality, and can handle a 6950 with no problems. The system he has with a 6950 isn't even going to ever push 400 watts with everything at 100% load.

*Although*, in my opinion, at 1080p which his monitor is the 6870 can play any game smoothly....it consumes 50w less than a 6950 for around 10% less performance and far lower price tag. Also, no need for a PSU upgrade at all even if you upgraded the CPU to an 1100t. There is no need for 2gb memory on 1080p, 1gb is plenty.

I was in the same price range and instead of the 6870 I picked up a 6950 for $200 new :)

I think either might be pushing it with a 500w PSU especially a cheap one...

I'm sure it was only a 1gb 6950 for that price.

And the silverstone 500w the OP has is not a cheap one, it's good quality and plenty capable of handling a 6950.
