Best 27in monitor

Are you planning to use it with your current rig? Just asking since a lot of 27 inch models have a native resolution of 2560x1440, which is quite a load to put on a graphics card.

With that kind of budget you would probably be looking at a new display with a TN panel or perhaps even a used one with some sort of IPS or VA panel.

If you are willing to risk it you could look into the quite cheap 27 inch IPS monitors from Yamakasi. I think the model is called Catleap Q270.

Here are a few:

Samsung P2770HD 300.62£ on Amazon.

Samsung S27A650D 299.99£ on Play.
Couldn't find any proper reviews for this one. I suggest looking at the overall responses in forums to get some sort of indication of how good it is.

Iiyama B2776HDS 236.50£ on Amazon.

ASUS VE278Q 228.40£ on Amazon.

Do take into consideration that TN panels don't have great viewing angles and I have heard that TN panels >24" can have issues because of this. Apparently the problem is that the colors can shift at the edges of the monitor even when sitting in front of it and looking at the center of the screen.

There have been rumors about the specifications of Dell's upcoming U2713. Supposedly it uses an IPS panel (can't remember which type) and the price shouldn't be outrageous. The only hints of the price have come from prices that were temporarily up on Dell's localized pages for some Asian countries.

EDIT: The general advice I'm seeing around a lot of places is to try to bump up the resolution to 2560x1440 or 2560x1600 when going over 24".
As always, you get what you pay for.

EDIT2: There's a lot of buzz around the affordable 27" inch monitors from Korea. They are usually around 300-400$ and the stores sell via Ebay.
