Best Affordable Cordless Mouse (for Laptops)

I'm asking for suggestions for the best of the best cordless mouse options for Laptop use but at an affordable price.

Since I will be using a lot of AutoCAD and similar software I will be needing an accurate and very controllable mouse... I'd most likely use it for gaming as well.

If you want a very precise mouse, I would go with a laser over an optical. The Microsoft Wireless Mouse 6000 (I believe) is a little cheaper than the Logitech MX1000, although the Microsoft doesn't have the rechargable batteries of the Logitech. Just things to consider...

I checked out the Logitech MX1000 and it looks really good. My only questions would be (and this is probably stupid to ask) but it says it's for your desktop. Can it still be used for Laptops?

I bought a mouse and am getting annoyed with it cause it keeps on needing charging... Its personal preference (or how many times you can stand having to charge it up while the computers running). Though someone will tell me that im wrong...!
