Best all in one DVD writing software for Movie DVDs

I have been having a lot of problems burning movies onto DVDs, and the people here have been very helpful, but I was just wondering...

Are there any good all in one (as in Encoding, Authoring, Burning software etc in one program) programs out there that i can buy? Instead of trying to do all the individual steps separately?

What about the Nero 6 reloaded? Is that any good?

I am a beginner and know almost nothing about burning Movie/Anime DVDs.

P/s I need a program that is like "burning movies/animes on DVDs for dummies' kinda thing.

Generally speaking you'll want to do everything using at least two (preferably three) programs since most burning programs are crap for DVD encoding although if you absolutely had to, Nero could prolly do everything from scratch (do realize working with NeroVision Express can result in upside-down-video-syndrome).

There is a program called Sonic Mydvd pro or something. It changed .avi files to the dvd player files and burns it. And makes little menus. The only problem is it cuts off the bottom where it is subbed.
You could try getting a dvd player that will play divx files.

Nero 6 is excellent. I have it and i use it to encode mpeg files that i recorded from tv to dvd format (including menus, titles, ect). And you can recode dvd's. and much much more, excellent program. (my nero 6 came with my DVD burner)

Yes you can but dont put blind faith into it ... Nero is good for burning but for encoding it has a LONG way to go :)

Ok, I may buy the Nero 6 program, but not at this moment. I will get a frd to buy it for me from abroad. It's too much of a hassle trying to find english software here in Japan, and I don't like purchasing stuff on the net with my credit card.
:)

In the meantime, I have one more question:
I downloaded the trial version of Nero and like it a lot as it's easy to use...but the trial period is now over, so is there any other good free software that I can download to use for writing Movie Datafiles etc?

My HDD is getting a little too full.

DeepBurner is a very nice program indeed, works wonderfully :) I prefer Nero/CDRWIN5 for general burning but DeepBurner does its job competently
