Corsair, antec, seasonic, xfx, Pc power and cooling. Silverstone. However, if your pc is 6 years old, it may be time to think about building a new one.
Better efficiency. 80 plus is what you are looking for if you have a demanding system. You have an older system that doesn't require a lot of power so a good 500 watt unit will suffice. Something like one of these.
it all depends on what kind of spec you have on your 6 year old pc. but just by hearing that its 6 years old, it may not need as much power as you think you do, so maybe 500W for your PC can be enough for your right now. But once you decide to start upgrading, thats when you should start thinking of getting a more powerful PSU.
You only need a higher wattage psu if you have a decent graphics card. There are some systems that can get by with only a 350-400 watt psu. All depends on the video card.
