Best Card Around?

I'm building a comp with this mobo and processor:

and need to figure out what the best video card to get is. I'm trying to stay around 200 bucks and am debating between a good 7950 or an 8600 if i go nvidia or an x1950 if i go ati. I want to be able to play games at almost top (if not max) settings and I do a lot with video and will be outputing to a tv to watch movies, shows and concerts. What do you think the best way to go is?

A 8600 GTS or save a bit and get a 8800gts which is around 270$
