Best card for £80

Want to buy a new graphics card for less than £80, and I currently have a 7600GS. Is it worth the upgrade for that money?

My system is one year old.

Asus A8N SLI-SE (Skt939)
AMD 3800+ X2
2GB RAM (400mhz I think)
XFX 7600GS

Here's one I was looking at - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/127346
Would that work with my system? I do have a PCI-E slot.

Thanks :)

Are the ATI cards better than the nVidia ones?
I've only ever used nVidia before..

If I do get an ATI card, how hard is it to change the drivers?

Ati is not better than nvidia, and the same is true the other way. Both have many different tiers of cards, they'll compete back and forth, though the winner isn't always so obvious. The 1950gt/pro is a great card, about 2 times more powerful than your Gs.

Alright, looks good - that's the sort of price I'm looking at.

Is there a guide to switching drivers or anything on here?

My brother built the computer for me, so I know about that, but the software aspect of drivers and everything confuses me.. don't want to whack the new card in then the system to crash constantly because nVidia is a bit touchy about competing cards :p

You just uninstall the nVidia drivers, power down the PC, take the power out, replace the card. Boot and install the drivers. If you want to get a little more power out of your card I'd get the Omega drivers from www.omegadrivers.net if you have XP. Just download those before you replace the card.
