best card for -$500

i have about 500 bux to put in for a graphix card..i was thinking about x800 xt
then i saw that there are x850, x800pro etc..etc..

so i was just wondering what would be the absolute best card for up to 500 bux..

GeForce6800 GT(230$-470$) or GeForce7800 GT(290$-550$). Radeons X800 & X850 series will be much more slower i the future.. so go with nVidia cause its cheaper and much more powerful than ati this days... 7800GTX has to be the best card out for under $500, but if you cant find one for under $500, get the 7800GT.

i think u should change ur whole pc, because u have just have P4 2.53 and 512 ram, so u couldn't get the full power of 7800gtx by this system

You wont get a 7800GTX.

The best card YOU can get is probably the X800XT. Its the best card i could find that was AGP.

and the gtx is like 600 LOl well of course i can wait till the x-mas/thanksgiving days) and maybe it will be on sale or a mail in rebate or w.e

does it matter what companie because the msi is 468 and the pny and the bfg are 600???
