Hey Everybody :) .
I was wondering, what computer company (Like Dell, HP, Sony, etc.) would be (and is) the best of the best, ever!
I don't know, too many choices (And Very tough ones at that :D !)!
So, which one(s) do You All think is the BEST of the BEST :D ?!

P.S.

Also, if you want, you can just vote (Above) for the one you think.

P.S.S.

I forgot about HP  !!
So, if you want to vote for HP just post it down (and for the ones who voted OTHERS for HP just post it down.)

homemade ones are easier to make top of the line. if i had to chose a prebuilt, it'd prolly be the powerspec 9800 or summut like that.

Laptops - nothing beats a mac, at work we have mac book pro core 2 duos with 2 gig of ram and 100gig hds and they are so smoking fast, very light, long battery life, built in wifi, bluetooth, etc.

Desktops - build your own, or business class from HP or Dell. Consumer desktops suck, if I had to buy a prebuilt one, I would buy business class. Since they are much more solidly built and usually come with a 3yr warranty standard, and you only end up paying a few 100 dollars more.

Well IMO I dont like Mac's, even Mac notebooks. I would take a Dell over a Mac anyday.

Many people dont like Dell, but I've had a Dell Latitude notebook for about 10 years and it still worked fine, and I bought an Inspiron back in March. Not only are they built well, but they have great prices. When you compare a Mac to a Dell with the same or similar parts, the Dell will be a lot cheaper.

The best company is Newegg and built my ME ;)

I didn't vote for anything, at least not as of yet. Typically you get much better hardware and better prices when you build yourself. I have also worked with different companies and typically they shine in one part but not another. Dell laptops are pretty decent, there desktops...don't get me started. I had a Compaq desktop for a little while and it wasn't too bad. I do feel the overall quality was better than the recent Dell machines I've worked on.

Compaqs are of low quality... but i still feel they're slightly better than Dell Desktops. HP desktops IMO are very nice. The desktop i bought for $600 USD came with a decent motherboard with onboard 6100le, a gig of pc3200, a 300w power supply (only thing i was disapointed in), a 200 gig harddrive, and an athlon 3800+ (venice core), which i thought was an excellent deal, and still to this day do. Now all i really did to it was stick a 7300gt in there and it runs beautifully.

dell notebooks...
self-built pcs...
only way to go....

oh, and best store is definately newegg...and frys is a close second just for their large in-store selection.

This statement is just not really that correct. The mac book pro has built in wifi, bluetooth, FW800, gigabit ethernet, isight (a digital camera), 15" screen and the laptop is well under 1" thick and weighs less. So you add FW800, bluetooth 2.0, start with 1gig of RAM, and a FW camera (higher quality than web cam) and then you can talk similar parts on different models. Don't even get me started on bundled software, Dell can't come close to what a mac can do out of the box.

You may not like the Macintosh platform and that is your opinion. I hate dell laptops because they are big and chunky and weigh a ton. However, they aren't bad machines. I know several people who still have them. If I were to pick a windows platform laptop, I would probably have to go with HP business class again because of hardware, support for different OSes (they tend to run linux very well) and they really aren't that much more. My company bought me a 12" NC4200 HP business class laptop, and overall its not that bad, though I would rather have a mac book pro C2D machine.

Laptops: Mac.
Desktops: Build-your-own.

Simple.

I just have to go with that choice also. But that wasnt a choice up-top so OTHERS

Mac's are nice for work but sometimes get petrefied with multi-tasking or maybe running 5 Safari Windows, Photobooth, Word, PP is too much for it. Hmm..

Thats funny, my macbook pro at work (its not mine its my works) not only multitasks just fine but it runs xp vritually via parallels and still works smooth as a baby's arse and faster than most average PCs.

Sony's are sleek and durable, and I love their screens. I've dropped my laptop twice and it's still alive :)

I think Toshiba is good too, but I go with Sony. Quite expensive, though :(

Yah, Sony is expecive. Though, I've keeped my eye on them for a long time. I seen one that I like and that I can configur. Though I'm not sure if to get Sony or another.

Maybe its just the network. Who knows. They have probalby fixed the networks 11 times this year.

One of the reasonse that I want and like about Sony is that there company is from Japan (or China. But, I'm not sure...).
And I've hered that Japan and/or China is somewhat ahead of the U.S. So, is this True or what, Anybody?
