Best Custom-build/ Pre-build computer??

Hi, everyone, My friend want to buy a new PC. However, he don't have much knowledge on computer. He decide to go for the ready made one, so that he will have technical support. (We leave far away from each other, can't help him if he has problem)
Which brand/ website is the most value for money to get a custom made PC?
By the way, we are in UK.
 
Well, HP, Acer, Sony, all good company's in the long run. But, my personal favorite, Hewlett-Packard.They have wonderful customer support, and their warranty's are very nice also. What exactly is his budget?
 
Just seen from other posts (can't remember where and when), somebody mention some of the company wil use their own bios which not allow people to ocing. Is anyone know who did that?
