Best DVD-R'S To Buy?

You should have pretty much good luck with any name brand disc, like Philips, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Imation, Memorex, Verbatim. Stay away from unknowns. It's a good idea to check your burner's instructions or manufacturer's website to see if they have any specific recommendation.

Head over to afterdawn.com. They've got a review of every DVD recordable media. Tuiyuden and Verbatim are pretty good ones from what I've read.

quantity over quality.
you should be ok with pretty much any common brand out there. just dont buy retailer types.. like compusa, staples, etc..

Look at the Media ID (which tells you the actual manufacturer), not what's printed on the label. I usually use Ritek myself, I find them to be a good mix between price and quality.

Anything made by Taiyo Yuden (TY) or Mitsubishi Chemicals (MCC) are great. Take a look at the above guide for more info
