The best backup solution, in my opinion, is to have a combination of backup solutions such as:
A local backup at your site which is easily accessed in the event of an accidental file deletion
An offsite backup at a remote location which can be accessed in the event of a natural disaster such as a lightning strike, fire, flood, etc.
Mission critical files backed up to a secure, cloud-based backup service.

Yes, usually I use the CloudBacko to backup my contacts, pictures, video, etc. As you are aware about only to save your contacts in G-mail and what about your pictures and videos which eventually takes more memory space. You also have to ensure about privacy of your personnel videos and images. So just go for secured Exchange Backup solution. You can easily login from your favorite social media account. Just go for that.
