Best for Q6600

Hello,

Im currently using a Q6600 on a P5nE 32 SLI and its on 3.0GHz nice and stable on default voltages, anymore and it fails due to the voltage fault on the NB with the P5nE 32 SLI.

I am looking at getting to 3.5 / 3.6 without water cooling or extra nb sb cooling, I have a thermalright ultra 120 on the cpu.

So Im looking at another motherboard, Im told the P5ke is good?

It must have SLI, at least 2 sata and be 775 socket for the Q6600.

So any recommendations?

Also this will be for gaming / overclocking :)

I just bought a Asus Maximus Formula motherboard. and it runs really nice. got it on 3.6GHz now (my Q6600) on air cooling. tough, thats a Crossfire motherboard (X38 chipset) I recon you want to look into the 780i chipsets, from what I've heard those are quite good too:)

I just ordered my rig which includes the Q6600, a XFX 680i board and two 8800GT's. I will drop by again with a message on how everything works but as far as I know every component is good.

Would I need to format my hard driver / reinstall windows if I installed a new motherboard?

Also does the Asus p5n-t 780i overclock Q6600 well to 3.6?
