best gaming case for $50-60?

Don't know which is the best... But here are some good ones.
Cooler master HAF912
Zalman Z9
NZXT Tempest 210
Corsair 200R
Rosewill Challenger

That list is decent, but as a 912 user, I can not recommend it for anyone looking for a Good case, especially for cable management purposes. The challenger is about the same performance wise, but cost less (thus better for teh customer). 210 is a really good case, I'm looking at it for a build in a week or so. Zalmen and corsair I am not too sure about, but both are brilliant companies.

HAF 912 is now $50, FS with $10 MIR at newegg. It is not a bad choice for $40 IMO.

40 is a decent price for it, but as soon as it goes off sale, then it is a waste of money. But you have to watch the MIR on it. Mine did not even come with th enecessary paperwork to file for it, so my $60 case was $70 and a colossal waste of money.

what about the antec 300?
and the Rosewill Challenger is ugly and i don't like ugly cases.
My friend got a haf 912 and it was pretty good and the cable managment wasnt bad either and lots of space

Antec 300 has literally no cable management so I'd advise against it. I think the Antec 302 is the updated version of the 300 with some better cable management options. Bit over your budget though. I had the Rosewill Challenger for a while and it was great for how cheap it was. But if you like the looks then don't worry about it.

It's a great case overall. Wolfe seems to have a personal vendetta against it but it's got really good reviews so it can't be too horrible. A solid choice.

i think the half 912 is the best option
-big
-lots of cooling options
-cable mamangment
-cable for watercooling

Big: You have got to be kidding me. A normal ATX board barely fits in it. I have maybe 1/4 inch between the bottom of the board and the top of the PSU.

Cooling options: This is decent, but it helps very little. Having every fan local filled in offers no cooler operation than having 0 fans installed, and 0 fans are quieter too.

Cable management: This is BS. The cable routing holes are rubbish, and the space behind the motherboard tray will only fit 1 cable before you have to bend the cover and beat it in with a hammer. Saying it has good cable management is the overstatement of the century.

Watercooling is not really that great in it either. It is too small to fit much, and you can only fit a H100 if you put the fans external. A true full loop would be close to impossible in it.

And I guess this can't be horrible either because it has plenty of good reviews. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103012

The 912 is held on a pedistal that it can not by design actually be on. The cable management is horrible (though you would never know it on this site, as everyone here says cable management is great as long as the case has holes next to the motherboard.). The case is far too expensive for what it offers.

wolfeking, compared to what i have now this case is way way bigger.. im not really planning on water cooling either. or putting tons of harddrivers or something... The cable managment is decent.. i made a build for my friend with the case and theres no extra cables anywhere.. this case offers airflow like any other $100 case and $50 bucks is pretty cheap for what the case offers.. ur statment is false lol

If you have any computer building experience and daily use on it, then you would know better. But if you want to make an ass of yourself by telling US that WE don't know what we are talking about, go right ahead.

As for being cheap for what it offers, good joke. Next time I will remember to laugh. You can get more features in a bigger case for less money with a 210 by NZXT, or a rosewill challenger. Both of which are made by higher quality manufacturers than coolermaster.

I've built a gaming PC using the CM 912.
  • i5-2500k /w Hyper 212 Evo
  • ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe
  • NVIDIA GTX 460 1GB
  • Silver Power 750w modular
I would go as far and say that the cable management I've done is near perfect, but it wasn't easy.

The Corsair 200R is on sale though, on Newegg:
Newegg: Corsair 200R - $50
Haven't tried that case yet, but I've only read good things about it. And Corsair is a great case-building company.

was saying my opinion..
the nzxt doesnt have any fans in the front.. less airflow?
you can not count fan locations as airflow. I only have 4 fans in mine (1 on each GPU and 2 on the 212evo ) and it runs the same temps that it did with 6 case fans on it.

That said, I am 99% sure that you are going to get about the same airflow with any of the cases built by a quality company in this price range.

I got good experience with the zalman z9 plus, it's a pretty nice case. Bought 2, for my father and brother.
It's fairly big, got nice design, good cable management,...

And especially, it's cheap and has awesome price/performance value

Part of your problem is your putting pretty high end stuff in a pretty cheap case. For a basic gaming case it does a good job. If you're running two high end cards in Crossfire with a Hyper 212 of course it's not gonna be enough. You continue to complain about it. Get past it and get a better case. But for 50ish dollars it's a good case as long as you're not expecting too much (which seems to be the case with you).
