i read my ass off about that, the 8x pcie lock wont even bottleneck a 8800 ultra. so its a non-issue.

how much does ram effect my fps?

worse comes to worse by opinions theres alays this for 50$ more http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=10720BD9213&vpn=BFGRINF680iLTS&manufacture=BFG

just doesnt officially suppourt over ddr800
Why dont you just get cheap DDR2 800 RAM? You can get them for well under $100 for 2 gig's.

I dont know why you are assuming you can get an E6750 up to 3.6-3.8Ghz, thats a really high assumption.

The first setup would give you better framerates and such because of the better video cards, but overall the second option is better.

Most people assume SLI video cards will pump out two times the amount of power opposed to having just the one card, however this is a common misconception. One of the users on this forum put it quite simply:

1=1
1+1=1.2

With those figures, spending an additional $280 for the stock model is wasteful.

Who here said that SLI is twice the performance of a single card? SLI provides anywhere from 50-80%, even higher with the newer games.

E2160 would bottleneck... P35-DS3L is my recommendation... And an Zalman 9700... and an Antec 900 @ Securemart (74.95)
