Hi guys,

Can you guys recommend me some solid gaming monitors?

Budget is probably around $200 ~ 300 Canadian Dollars.

I use NCIX and Canadacomputers. I don't use newegg because their shipping costs are too high.

Thanks in advance,

I wouldnt just not shop at newegg because their shipping costs are to high. Many times they are cheaper then amazon or NCIX, even if shipping is more (which i havent seen it any higher then amazon so i dont know where you are getting this from). Aastii reccomended some good ones. Just look for a monitor from Acer or Asus, with good reviews. Anything in that budget should be xxxx x 1080 or xxxx x 1200. Pick the size you want. Personnaly, i would buy 1 $200 monitor and a backup monitor for $100 with steam and temps running, but thats all up to you. And, dont grt anything above 24 inch with 1080p. The pixels will be visible, and it just wont look very good. You are going to want a mininum of xxxx x 1200, but it still wont look the best. Go for 1440p with a 27 incher, but thats out of your budget.

I've been speaking from my own experience (looking at their prices since 2010 on my own). I get the feeling that newegg (Canadian stores) isn't as active as NCIX and Canadacomputers in comparison. Sure they can offer more products and similar pricing, but I've always opted out Newegg due to their limitation in prices. They're just too high compared to regular deals I get from NCIX and Canadacomputers. Unless I am buying a special part like, some cases that are not available @ NCIX nor canadacomputers, then I'll buy. However, I will not be convinced to pay like $21.99 shipping cost for a $99 desktop case. Maybe it has to do with the size, but I might as well pay less shipping + slightly more on the same product with NCIX and save altogether.

Hope this makes sense.

And yea, 1440p is a bit out of my range, so I should probably stick to 1080p. So 24" should do just fine, thanks for your comment.
