Best graphics card for £30, £40 & £50

Hey guys.

I've been putting some stuff on ebay to help out my mate who wants to do a bit of gaming. I'm not sure how much I'm going to have to spend yet, but its probably going to be between £30 & £50

Hes interested in Team fortress 2 & Left 4 dead, has both the games.

I'm pretty sure his maximum res is 1280 x 1024.

His current specs are

PCIE Capable Motherboard from Foxconn
2GB DDR2
Windows 7 RC
2GHz E1400
Some Onboard Intel VGA

We want to upgrade his graphics card just so his games are at least playable.

What would be the best graphics card I could get him for £30 / $50 - ATI/Nvidia

What would be the best graphics card I could get him for £40 / $66 - ATI/Nvidia

What would be the best graphics card I could get him for £50 / $82 - ATI/Nvidia

From any UK E-retailer / Ebay.

So far I've managed to find an 8600GTS & HD3850 within £40.

Any suggestions?

For only $82 AU (like 40 pounds) and free postage it will beat the 3850 and the 4670. You will need a 400 watt minimum powersupply with a pci-e 6 pin connector.
I bought one myself it works great. it will get a but hot sometimes, and the fan is loud on 100% but thats it.

I'm not too sure what he has, I will check it out before I stick the card in though. I do have a few lying around which are probably more suited for what I wan't so I may stick one of them in.
