I am looking to get a new computer and I am unsure of what I should look at.
I currently have a 2010 MacBook Pro and as I and everyone else in my family have all Apple products, that is what I am most comfortable with. However, for budget reasons I am willing to look elsewhere.
Being a film student, I need something with a lot of memory and processing power. When editing I am usually running 1-2 video editing programs, my browser, and either iTunes or Spotify at the bare minimum. Often, there is more.
Display is also fairly important as I work with 2k and 4k footage that is usually going to be shown on very large screens.
Lastly (I know this has been long, sorry!) does anyone have any thoughts/advice on purchasing refurbished computers since, budget-wise, that is probably where I will end up?
