ey everyone newbie I guess, but just had a question or compare on laptops I should say. Which one is better "Toshiba Satellite Pro P200-S03" or "LG R700-X.AP02A9" reason asking is because I want to get my brother a laptop before he moves to Arizona, so if u guys (and ladies) could help me out I'd appreciate it. :D

"Toshiba Satellite Pro P200-S03" will be best option any day acc. to me .....
toshiba laptops has allways been among the bests ...

Toshiba's aren't very good. I've read bad reviews and another member in the forum had issues with 2 of his and decided to just return them for a refund.

I guess LG would be okay with electronics and computers, but as far as fridges and washers...I wouldn't trust them...

Go for LG - toshiba's have had a lot of bad reviews and lately there was a thread on here about a guy's toshiba kept on crashing due to the CPU getting to hot! It seems like a design flaw.

go for LG

Laptop

Crap I completely forgot I had posted here  anyways I thought I thank you guys for recommending the LG over the toshiba, my brother has not had any problems with it while his friends have had to take their toshibas back to the store for either repairs or exchanges, kind of thinking of purchasing a laptop now same brand (LG) :D. Thanks all

LG makes laptops? I can't recall seeing one. I'll have to google sometime :P

Anyway, Toshiba is typically a pretty fair brand. My room mate has one and it's been a fine laptop. I love my Fujitsu, but Toshiba's were a close second on my list of laptops to consider. I'm sure any laptop brand can have lemons, but from what I've read, Toshiba's are usually pretty decent, well priced machines.

I had a Toshiba laptop for around 5 years... it was the greatest... with the way i treat them i wouldnt have expected it to last so long :)
i have also had an LG which looked nicer but kinda felt cheap in a way. things started to go wrong pretty quick.
The toshiba was much more reliable

I bought a Toshiba Laptop about a month ago, and it's great.

I've never had any problems with Toshiba in the past.

i have an old P4 2.4ghz northwood (yes, northwood laptop) toshiba satellite 1905-s303. its heavy, has a lacking lcd, over heats, did i mention it gets hot? its slow no matter what, and it has a column of dead pixels across the screen. im sorry, but toshiba SUCKS. I would get an HP or dell. yes, dells are fine and work perfect. they are the Apple iMacs of Windows based computers. thats why i got a new dell vostro 1500 laptop. the quality is amazing, only to be surpassed by my friends HP DV9000. (mine has better specs though, :P)

actually, toshiba's are really durable. mine started falling apart this year. oh yeah, its also been used almost every day for the past 6 years, so i guess its help up pretty well. i still wouldn't get one though.
