Best laser for college student?

why do you want to buy a laser printer for college? most colleges allow you to print a certain amount for free with your student account. however if you insist the lexmark makes pretty good laser printers. there color printers are pretty crappy but there laser seems to last for a very very long time.
 
You're right, but in the building I'm in it's a trip to the printer, I'm in a highrise on the eleventh and the lab is on the first. Plus I would like one for when I move off campus. I currently have a lexmark color that is ridiculously quirky.
 
I'm using a Brother HL-1440 which is very similar and just as reliable as my HP4000 at a fraction of the price. 1200 DPI and 15 PPM -- so not bad at all.
