Although I am not a Dell PC fan, I have to say they make some mean monitors, I'm using one right now.

i have a 19 inch dell monitor and i love it, great quality. when i ordered it, it came broken and i sent it back and got a new one within 3-5 days. i paid no shipping either

I have 2 viewsonic CRT's right now and there awesome, they never hurt my eyes during those 6+ hour gaming sessions.

im using a samtron which is sorta a no-name brand, although when i read reviews, viewsonic always gets the best, so thats why i voted for them.

After researching monitors considerably, more specifically LCD Flatpanel Displays, the best namebrand product without a doubt is the Samsung line. Their variable contrast ratio far exceeds any generation LCD on the market. Their pricing however is rather high, I ended up purchasing an Olevia 37" LCD which has DLP quality (very good) contrast.

As you did not specify best buy, but best product I have to say samsung. Not even the Aquos series by Sharp even compares.

As for Viewsonic; their monitors are decent... but their assembly controls seem to be poor. I've had two dead monitors of theirs in the last year and a half.

Dell displays: good quality, but you get what you pay for, they sell cheap quality ones too.
