Best/Most Accurate CPU temp monitor

You're BIOS. Totally free, always should be accurate :P

Speedfan usually works well, but I have had some problems with it recently(such as locking up my computer!)

Yeah, Your BIOS will tell you the CPU and the MOBO...

Other than that, I used SensorView Pro 2.1... It's really good!
Temps, CPU Usage, RAM usage and voltages!

...and you can have a widget thing on your desktop and the temp displayed in the taks bar where the clock is!

Highly Recomended :D

If your using a Core 2 Duo, Intel TAT is the most accurate. However for mostly all others, the motherboard BIOS is usually pretty accurate.

excuse me here lads, but i am a little bit green when it comes to computers ! can you explain how i can check cpu temp using bios please ?

i am running core 2 duo e6400 on msi p965 neo MB

Since your running a Core 2 Duo, the most accurate way to find the temps is to download and install Intel TAT, which reads the temp diodes built into each core on the CPU. It will report back to you the temps of each individual core.

Thats more accurate then the BIOS because the BIOS uses it's own temp sensor, which is located usually underneath the CPU.
