Best motherboard for G6950

I will be playing mainly single-threaded games, so no need for quad CPU
Budget <£80
I'm thinking the GA-H55M-UD2H
or the P7H55-M .
USB3 nor SATA 6gbps are essential. Will be overclocking to 4.2 - 4.4, 24/7
Also, I'd like it to be blue or black, but this isn't my priority

Go with the Gigabyte.

Also, I highly highly suggest getting the I3 over the G6950. If you are buying from Ebuyer, the I3 540 is only 6 (Pounds? I don't have that symbol on my keyboard) more than the I3 540, which is a huge difference in speed/performance per dollar.

The G6950 is only £64 here

Ebuyer are overpriced on that particular CPU

I'm on a tight budget, though I could stretch if it meant the extra performance was worthwhile. I've just seen such glowing reviews of the G6950.

The extra performance is VERY worthwhile. Hyper threading is about the equivalent of a third core, plus the 540 has high clockspeed stock which means higher multiplier (which is better for an H55 board because you may hit a base clock wall early), and it has 1mb more L3 cache.
It also has WAY better onboard graphics, if you were gonna use it at all. The G6950's video capabilities is crap.

Take a look at these bench comparisons-

For 6 pounds it's faster than itself? :D

Anywho, the G6950 is a rip-off compared to the i3s. No hyperthreading and a lower-clocked GPU.
