I'm taking a computer networking class and someone is asking "What is a really good networking company?" He says he wants lots of opinions so I decided to pass this on to the CF. Give him your opinions!

linksys ftw!! i had a dlink wifi router and had nothing but problems. got a linksys now and i havnt had to do anythin since i first set it up (about 8 months ago now)

I can attest to Linksys and D-Link to doing what they were supposed to do when I used them. Don't know if I could say either one is 'better' than the other, but I voted Linksys

After tweaking DHCP settings, my Linksys has been rock-solid reliable for a full year.
Watch. Now it'll explode on me two days after the warranty ends...

um, if it is out of thoughs linksys but in the real buisness world, cisco is the top and best. there products are very hard to break and good rep.

My netgears been runnin well for a few years now, an its pretty user friendly too!

Not had much luck with D-Link, got one as a replacement for my netgear, the Gateway keeps dropping out, upgrade page doesn't even like its own firmware & I have problems with the free wireless dongle that came free with it, loves to randomly not see the network, when the adapter in my notebook does 100% of the time.

Draytek & Zyxel are 2 of the best IMO, netgear following shortly after :)

yeah out of my experince this is the order i see it
1) cisco
2) linksys
3) netgear
4) d-link
5) other comp
6) other comp
--------------
7) other comp
8) other comp
9) other comp
10) belkin

yes belkin does stink that bad. HORABLE custamer support (when i got a n router the guy told me i could not have a hardwire firewall!!!! uh yeah sure , HORABLE product, and they just fail! DO NOT UNDER ANY CURCUMSTANCE go with them!!!

btw the line seperates good from horable
