Best On-Board Video?

I'm building a home computer for a customer and I'm thinking of using the Radeon HD 4200, since I don't have experience with on-board video, how good is that? He says his kids are going to be using it for games like The Sims (2, 3), as well.

Why not just save yourself the trouble and get some lower-end dedicated card? You can get some for almost nothing and I'm almost positive they'd be better than most any intergrated card. Plus you wouldn't have to deal with shared memory or anything of the sort...

Here's a detailed review of MOBO's with an integrated HD4200 graphics card. Has things like Game - and Blue Ray Playback in the review.

The integrated Radeon HD 4200 isn't much of an upgrade over the old 3200, and it's still woefully inadequate if you want to play the latest games at reasonable resolutions and detail levels.

Thanks, what would you guys suggest for a lower-end build?

There are tons of low-end GPUs on newegg selling between $30-$50. Any of these should be better than onboard video.

You could probably get something like the 9400GT and be pretty well set for some low-end gaming (sorry, I'm an eVGA fan :P) But it's only $45.

*edit*

Looked around real quick and that ATI would probably be better and cheaper than the 9400.
