what do you think is the best operating system i am thinking about changing mine from windows to ........

Microsoft isn't an operating system... they are a company who makes the Windows operating system.

he didn't say microsoft, he said windows... n theres no need to be so technical.. you understood him..

i would say windows xp just because i never used linux so there is no need to start a feud with me listing why linux is better. just my personal experience.. linux has similar windows GUI also.. so thats a plus..

Yeah, as a matter of fact he DID say Microsoft, he clicked the little thing known as EDIT. Yeah I understood him, and I gave him a little constructive criticism so he wasn't confused about it. This is a "Computer Forum", a place to be "technical".

Alright chief, tell me as to why he would go through the trouble posting "yeah i screwed up" if he hadn't originally said Microsoft?

get back on topic y'all.

windows xp is the most common OS, but more and more people are switching to linux. which linux distro to go for, you will have to do research on. infact, on this forum, type distro into the search bit and it will probably come up with a good few results

plz always have "EDIT" whenever you edit your post to prevent minor confusions like that of which just happened.

Microsoft..duh don't you (I) mean Windows XP is the Best. But for does that are a little more experienced in computing, I think open source wise Linux is most suitable. Isn't Red Hat or Slackware supposed to be really hard to use?
 
XP isn't an OS, just a BIG graphical disaster... Since Bill started thieving, he just can't stop. FSF

i really like windows, especially xp, and i also like how practically everything is compatible with it, and thats the main reason why i dont switch to linux, because of compatibility.
