Best PCI GFX for Dell Dimension 1100

I visit my parent's house every once in a while, and in my old bedroom is a Dell Dimension 1100.

Specs:

- Windows XP
- Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz CPU
- 2GB RAM
- 160GB PATA HDD

I'm pretty maxed out on the other specs, but I want to play some older games which might need a graphics upgrade. Problem is there is no PCI-Express slot. What to do? Look for a PCI graphics card.

So what options can I do for cheap on old style PCI which would improve on the "Intel Extreme Graphics 2" with the 250W PSU? What modern options are there?

Thanks in advance.

For the money you would have to spend, it would be better off to find something more updated to do what you want. That machine is just way too old to be spending money on.

If you can find say a ATI 9250 or Nvidia 6200 somewhere cheap, it would be your best bet.

Do you have an AGP slot instead? If so you can get something faster but probably much faster since your PSU won't be able to handle much.
