Best program for frames per second?

anyone know of any programs that lets you see the frames per second while playing games that doesnt take up many resources.

FRAPS is a good one, there's a free version.

FRAPS doesn't take up much of anything resource wise unless you're recording. But just having it as a counter for framerate shouldn't impact performance at all.

msi afterburner, and precision x both have fps monitors you can turn on as well

for only frames, then fraps and precision x are the best. I like the small text footprint of precision x better though.

Also note that you can use hwinfo64 to see data on screen for CPU, RAM, and GPU but you need afterburner or precisionx (maybe fraps) for the OSD server.
