Best socket 478

Im in the market for a nice socket 478. I think my 3.0 is holding me back. Are there any with more than 1Mb L2 cache? Any suggestions for a nice 478, cooling isn't a problem. Also, where could I find it cheapest. They make any EE for 478? or Pentium Ds? thanks.

I understand you want the best socket 478 cuz you don't want a new mobo. But socket 478 is being phased out and it would be a good idea to get a different mobo and proc to really give you better performance. I went from the chip you have now to an amd 3000+ x64 chip and got much better performance. You should seriously consider getting amd.
 
aaaaaaw, I just got a new mobo, and a new AGP card. $500. lol. NO WAY im throwing those 2 away, I need me a nice 478. In a coupld years, I'll prolly go PCI-E, AMD, and so on, but for now, I'm lookin for 478
 
You know what, I calcualted this: if I got a new mobo + a 4000+, as long as I could sell my bran new 3.0E + ASUS mobo, it really wouldn't be so expensive.
 
i thought u had it for a while... how long have you had it? and where were you thinking of selling it?
 
well, I got dragged into it... It all started with upgrading my dell, needed a 478 for the dell, then realized del mobo wouldn't support it, so I got a new mobo, but I had an AGP card, so I couldn't get a PCIE mobo, then I realized my card was only 4x, and a peice of crap, and it goes on to build my new system. On;y thing left from dell is DVD-ROM drive :P . Anyway, it is like, 1+1/2 months old. I was thinking locally, ebay, or even here.
