Hello. I'm been planning on getting my wife a new tablet for Christmas, and wanted to stay around $500, give or take $50. I've been doing some research, and I think the best one would be the new "ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T". The specs I read on the ASUS are pretty darn good for beening less then $500. Any other idea's on a tablet are very welcome, as long as it's stays around the price, specs/features, and durability as the ASUS Transfomer TF700T, thank you.

I currently use the sony tablet s. Best of all, flash actually works on it, and it is within your budget.
9.1" display. Multi-touch capable. has exclusive sony apps but still runs the android platform which is awesome. Typing is easy.

I actually like it a lot better because of the design. Its slightly bigger on one side which makes it easy to hold, right or left handed.

The only thing that I can think of that would make it better is if the browser would register as a desktop/laptop ratger than a mobile device. Im not sure if there is a setting or an app for that, but that is my only objection.

Not an apple fan? and heard the Surface is pretty good, and there's another coming out but it's 900 but has an ivy bridge i5+hd4000 and i think a higher res.

I would deffinatly go with a surface RT for around $500 if you are open to non android. I would go with a Nexus 10 for $400 if you only want android.
