Hey guys,
I'm looking for a tablet for the sole purpose of watching movies/shows. No apple products please, been there done that, not a huge fan of breaking an arm and a leg just for a logo of an apple.
Most of my video formats are in mkv, rmvb, avi, mp4 at 720p. I'm kinda stuck between the Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 and the Google Nexus 7.
Firstly and most importantly, which is the best video player app for android? mkv and rmvb with subtitle files inside aren't the easiest videos to play smoothly(from my experience, only AV player on apple is able to pull it off, though with some spikes in subtitle timings). And would the difference in the galaxy tab 2's dual core vs nexus 7's quad core processor affect how smoothly the video playback of mkv/ rmvb files is?
The tab 2 7.0 offers external micro sd extension slot while the nexus 7 doesn't. T_T
Which would be the better tablet for video playback in general?
Or is there any other tablets which are better than those 2?
