Best upgrade

What would be the best thing to upgrade or add to my PC that would make the biggest performance increase I was thinking of getting 2 raptor 36GB drives in raid0 or maybe 2 more gigs of memory.

biggest performance would be ocing the cpu if it is still stock

2gb is enough for xp and you may not see a huge performance difference switching to raptor unless that wd is not a sata300.
 
Its not overclocked, would overclocking it really make a noticeable difference?

I'm looking for a faster boot up and game loading times boot up takes around 90 seconds.

I am going to get vista ultimate soon so may get the 2 raptors to install it on how much faster would my boot and loading times be?

Which would speed up my rig the most with or without it being overclocked?

1.2 36GB raptors Raid0
2.Extra 2 gig of memory

If you are looking for a faster boot time.. reformatting my computer always helps. My comp gets slower after a while and I always end up reformatting it and starting new. It is amazing to see how a 3 minute bootup can change to 30 seconds so easily.

Works like a charm.
 
I did a clean install only 2 months ago and try to keep number of running processes to a minimum.

I just looked at the price of memory and can get Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 for £110 thats £80 cheaper than it was when I got the same in January.

I may still upgrade the hard drive as its still the slowest part of my rig.
