I'm looking at any laptop here. Yes, there's a thread on college
laptops but that was mainly discussing specs and whatnot. I'm
just looking for the best deals to take advantage of my money
at a time with the deflating dollar hahaha.

This is the best value I found with my own searching.

Buut, you guys are the experts so I am wondering if you can find
anything better! heheh. Price is not an issue as long as I get the
best value. So a $1200 laptop works, if it is worth $2000 with
features hahah.

Thanks for helping a confused, lost individual! :)

Try this site http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/configurator.aspx?mid=264 I just think while you study hard sometime you just need a break and have a laptop that no one have and play some games. You know be different.:D
ibuypower and cyberpowerpc are so close to scam sites it's not even funny. Search for some company reviews and you'll see what I mean. Most of the reviews speak of nightmarish customer service, quality and let's not forget that most of the time they are unbelievably late in their delivery.

ibuypower and cyberpowerpc are legit companies. Their service is not great, but they make decent systems. However, Invisible man suggested an overpriced laptop with worse specs than the other.

To your support of these companies, they don't back-up the product and it is near IMPOSSIBLE to even call them. Their computers often turn up DOA. Their reviews are astronomically worse than any other computer company. With so many negative reviews I know I wouldn't want to even throw $500 there way. There is a reason they have so many negative reviews. Granted by DESIGN their systems are decent, but when it comes to actually putting together it would seem that they fail miserably. I looked into purchasing from both of these companies (Actually, I think they are the same company actually under two different names) because of their price/potential performance ratio but after what I have read wouldn't trust them.
