Best video card for no more than 300?

I just bought a new PC (4200 AMD athlon x2, 2 GB memory, 250 GB HD) but the video card that came with it isn't exactly up to par, so I was wondering what is the best card for no more than 300 bucks?

for like 350ish (probably less) u could buy a nice 7800gt which would be very very good wit ur system and is by far the best for the money.
