I am having a hard time deciding on which win 7 to buy. I know the ultimate has those silly games like internet spades but I love playing that game with a few beers on occasion. I like to upgrade my components so i guess retail is the way to go. Damn $200 dollars and I have no idea what the difference is between ultimate, , home or professional. Can some post a site with this info I am having trouble finding it. thanks

Also what is the best bang for the buck for a win7 with internet spades. :)

Which components are you going to upgrade? If it's something like the GPU or RAM, it won't require a phone call. Even if you get a new motherboard, if you explain the situation to Microsoft, I'm sure they'll give you a new key to use. I even know of some cases where Microsoft let someone install it on another build because they completely remade the system with the exclusion of the motherboard.

I am planning on getting a Phenom x4 since I have been doing more video creation/enconding than expected.

Gigabyte ma790?-ud4p
ddr 2 1066 4gb
hd4870
phenom 550 x2 @3.8

I will continue to upgrade as prices suit my budget.

Buy the oem system builders pack...i think it was like 110 bucks on newegg.

If you ever need to reinstall, you do it, and call MS to reactivate..literally a 4 minute phone call and you're reactivated!

Personally, I'd go Pro or Ultimate purely because of the Win XP mode. Theres really not much difference between the 3 versions.

xp mode ... ?? I have newer componets is this for convience..?

I had afew beers tojnioght and typinh and speeling have not been good

I mean Windows 7 isn't the only way to play Spades on the internet, why base your entire purchase decision off of that lol.

i have spent alot of money on my pc and want it to be right.. alot of great advise on here do not want to be a .... hmm ... ... ... .... ..... ...... .........

I'd go with win7 home premium if you don't care for XP mode. your processor needs to support virtualization anyway.
