better video card

okay, i need a video card to meet these requirements:

Shader 2.0 and 128MB ram, GeForce 6600

out of the video cards in this list

which one matches it or is a little better? (only vga or pci slot)

i cant tell this kind of stuff to save my life...but i just want a card thats as good or a little better...i dont want to spend to much money....and staples closes in a hour....

That's a pathetic lineup Staples is sporting. Out of that list, the grossly overpriced 8600gt would be the best match.

Do you need to use that list/staples? For the same amount you could get a much better card somewhere else.
 
its the only place i know in my area that sells graphics cards...besides walmart and they only have 2 in stock and both are pcie cards..

THat's right: PCI only. A very bad graphic bus.. There were some respectable cards on PCI, sans performance, but I doubt you'll find anything matching those specs in circuit city/best buy/etc..

What do you mean by VGA slot? AGP? That would expand things by quite abit.
 
You're going to have to go dry, brother! Not a single PCI card on staples/Circuit city/best buy matches even closely the 6600..
 
wow..i'm ready to shoot my computer. i've installed 3 games, and cant run any of them just cause of the video card. i need a recommendation...whats the best vga card i can get for .....130-150?
 
I don't know, but your options are extremely limited. For $130-150, you could easily just upgrade your mobo with one that has AGP/PCIE slots, and also get a cheaper video card that would blow the 6600 out of the water. What are your system specs?

i could, but then, i'm buying the mobo, probably a new processor and then the v-card...but thats what i was originally considering...guess i'll save my money for a while longer (if only my sister would pay me back my $500)
