Bf2 crashing

I have been playing bf2 for a while. I used to have it on high 1024 x 768 but i wanted a better frame rate (i was getting 25 - 60) Its on medium now and i get about 50 - 80. But now everytime when i play some things just turn black. The ground will be black but not the grass. My grenade will turn black and a whole lot of other things. I think it isnt loading all of the textures, but it was fine on high.... Also before i run bf2 i have about 500mb system cache and after it crashes, or if i get time to turn it off it goes down to 150 mb. I dont know if that has anything to do with the crashing but it is getting very annoying now. I have to restart bf2 to play a game, and after 1 game it crashes again. Maybe 1 second freeze and BOOM. bye bye bf2. Also sometimes in the middle of the game when some things are black it frezes for about 20 sec then it looks better.
Any ideas what is wrong?
 
i think this is one of the consequences of a corrupt installation, i don't have the game but i've seen other mention this problem and its usually because of this.
i would uninstall it and reinstall. thats the only thing i can suggest
 
Im installing now. This is off topic but how many upgrades do u guys have? Which ones do u have? Which one is ur favorite?
I have the medic, assault, and spec. ops. upgrades.
I HATE the assault upgrade because u dont have the carbine.
I love the medic upgrade because i can actually kill ppl easily, and get big points for reviving ppl.
 
I have the sniper, assault, medic, spec. ops and support upgrades. I mainly am a sniper or medic, but I snipe more (I have vet. sniper, and watever else there is for sniping).
