First off, do you have bf2142 installed? northern strike is really just 3 maps added on to the game, a small expansion pack, which you can only play online.
If you do have it installed, you need to download a program called EA LINK http://www.ea.com/ealink/
Register than download. It's pretty convenient this way, if you ever need to install the game again, you can download it for free and install, plus it's very fast download, helps for patches and demo downloads.
