BF3 on 4890?

just wondering if anybody knows how bf3 will run on a 4890

I think you could get buy on medium settings, worst case scenario you'd have to do low. Not interested in upgrading? Throw in 8GB of RAM and a better graphics card and youd handle it without a problem.

I don't know what that card is equivalent too for nvidia, but I run on high with a gtx 465.

Im usin a 4850 X2 on high, but I want ultra so imma have to upgrade. I just don't know if my stuff is too old just to add another gpu.

The 4890 is a good card,But I would still recommend you upgrade because the 4890 does not support DX11,Only DX 10.1 so BF3 isn't going to look as pretty as it could.

According to ebay.aus, a 4890 is going for about $70. The rest of your system is good, that's the main weak point.

Ok so my system seems fine then except the gpu would a 6970 be a good decision? I don't really want to get a new one for a year or two. If I evert need more power I guess I can go crossfire in one if these badboys or should I just go for the 6990?

6970 is more than enough, any higher would be a gtx580, no need at all for a 590 or 69950
