Hey guys i just recently bought a BFG 6600GT OC the AGP version. Everytime i go to a website like http://www.guru3d.com/ or any website with alot of flash or alot of text it laggs out....when i scroll really fast it goes supper slow and iv tried like 5 different drivers thinking that thats the problem but its been still doing it even with the New Drivers and Some Old drivers.
I have no idea what the problem could be.
im thinking it might be defective.
also the core and memory speeds in 2d are 300mhz/1.05
GHz and for the 3d its 525mhz/1.05 GHz.
Also My old Asus a9600XT did not have this problem!

when i play games it seems to work really good.
these are the scores i get with 3dmark Benchmarks,

3dmark01 16000

3dmark03 8070

3dmark05 3606

i have a 450 Watt power supply "real power" so i dont think that power would be a problem
i have the A7N8X Deluxe as a motherboard
CPU is a Athlon XP 3000+
i have a gig of ram
120GB "ide" and 160Gb"sata" hard drive both W digita
i have really good air cooling in my case "Thermaltake Kandalf"

thanks alot of the help!

This has damn near nothing to do with the videocard :) Tried enabling smoothscrolling? and/or upgrading your internet connection?

Whats the make/model and/or ratings of this PSU?

Where do you find that option?

hey thanks for the reply,
i no the problem is not the internet. even so it does it after the webpage is fully loaded. this problem also happens when i open msn and drag it all over the screen really fast it laggs out and glitches...

my PSU is a Cooler Master Real Power 450 Watts Link
this PSU is rated 9.5 out of 10

It looks like it doesn't do this lagging problem in IE only in Firefox...
but it does do it in windows

Im using forceware version 77.77 from GURU3D.com

BFG sent me this

Eric Coutemanche,

If the card is running well in your 3D applications, there's not very much that should be causing problems in 2D applications. What driver versions have you tried? Are you fully uninstalling the old ones before loading up the new ones? Is this problem only happening in a web browser? Which browser are you using?

Also, what version of Windows and DirectX is this computer running?

i reinstalled windows last night...and its still doing it so it cant be a old driver problem

im using Firefox as a browser

im using windows XP PRO SP2

Praetor u said to enabling smoothscrolling ...where would that be? ;)..nevermind about that i found it :D....BUT id didn't do anything its still glitching out.

thanks for the help!

i had this laggy problem before. I simply changed the monitor refresh rate and it solved it. IDK if it will do anything for u but u could give it a try :)

If you have another monitor try that. If not, try another internet browser. You might also want to check for spyware/adware/etc.

Keep in mind that it was working perfectly fine with his Asus a9600XT video card. So, one second it's working fine, he replaces the video card with a newer one, and the next second it's lagging out ;)

i tried a other monitor and that didn't do anything...and spyware cant be the problem bc i just reinstalled windows....i tried IE and all the sites work perfectly....but it still laggs out in windows it self...like when i drag thing around...it glitchs and laggs...
