I'm currently using TuneUp Utilities 2004 to shred any files I don't need anymore such as dvd rips and so on. The problem is that I tried to shred a folder of ripped dvd movies that was 52gb in size. When I ran it through the shredder it had a problem reading one of the files and stoppped shredding then it reformatted the folder to a corrupted .rar file that WinRar won't open.
Now what do I do? I need to get rid of this stuff perminently because my hard derive is only an 80gb and its about 2gb away from being full. What should I do to solve this problem? And if anybody knows of a dvd ripping program that gets rid of the data after a burn it would be appreciated. Also a better program for getting rid of unwanted files perminently too, that wouyld be even better. Thanks
