What exactly do you mean when you say, you have no disk drives? Are they missing or they’re not being detected by your system? What OS are you have installed and what type of drives are they? in other words can you give us brief specs on your system, mentioning also the type of interface ( PATA , SATA, SCSI etc)

They are listed in the device manager, but I cant get them to work. When I pull up "my computer" they are not showing up, only my floppy dirve and c drive. I had them two days ago. Im running windows xp on a dell dim 4400. ONe of my drives is an external dvd burner and the other came with the system, a cd-rom drive. I cant try and re install anything cause i cant get the comp. to recognize the diskdrive! Plz help! The only thing i did was run registry mechanic.?

Registry Mechanic is probably the prob!

Registry cleaners cannot be trusted if you don't know what you're doing.

I suggest you try a system restore, or if theres a backup utility within the program try using that.

Did the program prompt you to make any reg backup anywhere?
