Big Problem

All my programs that require DirectX have problems and are all skippy and freeze up almost right away. I keep installing DirectX 9 but the DirectX Diagnostic Tool says that I only have version 7. Also there, it says the following:

Several files (d3dim.dll, d3drm.dll, d3dxof.dll, etc.) are missing!
Several files (d3dim700.dll, dplayx.dll, dpmodemx.dll, etc.) are old versions, which could cause problems.

Did you try reinstalling with the latest version? I believe it is DirectX9 c.

What happens when you install it? Does it successfuly complete the installation? Any errors?

I installed it and version 9 installed fine, but it says that one of the files is an older version and could cause problems. So I went to delete the file and I couldnt. I had to extract or something like that.
