bios battery

Ok can any one shed some light on this for me?
Dell inspiron 1525 laptop
Won't power on
I pull the 3v battery from mother board out every thing back together and the laptop turns on.
Then it won't turn on again.
I have to pull the little 3v battery then it turns on one time.
It works every time I pull the battery.
???

simple fix I think. Try replacing the battery. Should be cheap. Just call up dell and ask for a CMOS battery. Should be under $20 to get it.
