BIOS beeps

so when my computer starts up this is what i got today beep pause beep beep long pause beep and 1 or 2 times it keeps on beeping tons of times like beep beep beep beep beep beep ect then the last three was beep higher pitched beep then a regular puitched beep what do they mean and why are they different all the time? i have ami bios

I think that the beeps mean different things for different manufacturers. I know that with my old gateway mobo, four beeps meant that at least one memory stick was dead. So call the manufacturer.
