BIOS Prob

OK i had a topic before about flashing the BIOS and which program to use and, well, i figured that problem out. Then i got a new one: the reason for flashing my BIOS and the outcome of a my new BIOS was ironically opposite. I wanted to flash my BIOS because i wanted to be able to ramp my RAM timings up to their certified 5-5-5-12-1T, but after the new BIOS i kept having problems with running F.E.A.R. and America's Army and Halo. So then i ran memtest and i just kept getting error after error. I went to the site it told me to go to on the error pop up and it said that the timings might be too aggressive. So then i checked in the BIOS and they were 5-5-512-2T like before when they worked. Just for extra measure i bumped it down to 5-5-5-18-2T and i still got errors, but more frequently. So then i figured somethings wrong with my RAM and thought about returning it even though i bought it back in September '06. I then figured since it worked before with the old BIOS i would flash it back, and albeit the RAM works perfectly fine. Now, does anyone know why the RAM would be unstable after the BIOS update, even with the same timings?

If your too lazy to read the whole thing then here is a cliff notes of the paragraph.

Updated BIOS. Games were crashing and system rebooting. Ran memtest with horrible results. Lowered the timings. Still got errors but more frequently. Reflashed BIOS to old version. Works better now. Why does it not work with new BIOS but same timings?

ALSO Prime95 kept getting errors and stopped within the first 2 minutes but now it looks like its going to work perfectly aswell

have you tried putting a little extra voltage in to see if that improves things... maybe 2v or a little more?
