Ok so I get home late last night from going out for beers after work, turn on the computer and the fans all come on, hard drive spins, but I get nothing on the monitors. So I shut the computer down and restart it, this time getting the following message:

Boot Block Compatible Version Ver. (something with a 4 in it)
Bad BIOS checksum. Starting BIOS Recovery...
Checking for floppy...
Floppy not found!
Checking for CD-ROM...
CD-ROM found.
Reading file "M2R32-MVP.ROM". Completed.
Start Erasing...\
Start Programming.../

Please turn off your system and power on again to get system back.

The first time I got the message it couldn't find anything and I had to insert my mobo cd that came with it. Then it did the above, so I turn off the computer and turn it back on and nothing. Computer starts everything up like it should but I get no signal to the monitors or to my keyboard either. So I pull the case apart, check all the connections, pull the CMOS battery, move the jumper over for a minute or so, put the battery back in, plug the power cord in and start the computer again. I get the same thing as above, restart the computer and nothing again. Try clearing the CMOS again and now I am not getting anything to come up on the monitors, it's not sending a signal to the monitors or keyboard or anything. I also changed the CMOS battery and still get the same result.

The only thing that changed on my computer, was tuesday night when I shut it down, windows installed some updates. Other than that everything had been running fine and I hadn't changed anything for quite some time.

A bad checksum usually means the CMOS battery is dead. Since you say you've already tried that, the BIOS may have been corrupted when it got flashed. Asus is supposed to have crash free BIOS or dual BIOS or something. Check the manual for how to restore it.
